As it often does, life happened, and a lot of those dreams faded away or got put on hold. There were other things to do! Rent to pay! Food to buy! Places to go, people to meet…yeah, life happened. Because she grew up to become a Modern Woman™ as well as a semi-responsible adult, she found herself on an unexpected career path: she followed the scent of roasting coffee down the road and put on an apron. Instead of the life of an engineer, an astronaut, a fairy princess, a singer, an actress, an artist, a veterinarian, or a rodeo clown, Grace became a fabulous barista. Although some days it did make her feel like she was living the life of a rodeo clown.
