
Working at a coffee shop kept her busy, kept her bills paid, and kept her nostrils happy because roasting coffee! As far as careers went, she thought it was decent enough. Not really what she’d planned on, but hey, life was life, and she felt lucky to have a job at a place she could walk to from home. Even if it was not a typical sunshiny California day, she could still hoof it to work in about twenty minutes. The walk gave her plenty of time to ponder not only her life choices, but also the what-ifs of human existence. Some days, she wondered which paths her life might have taken if only she’d turned left instead of right. Or vice-versa.
